This year marks the 50th and 75th anniversary of the graduating classes of 1950 and 1975.

In 1950, there were graduating classes from Belle Center, Bellefontaine, DeGraff, East Liberty, Huntsville, Lakeview, Lewistown, Middleburg, Monroe, Quincy, Rushsylvania, Stokes, Washington, West Liberty, West Mansfield, and Zanesfield.

School nicknames included, Belle Center Eagles, Bellefontaine Chieftains, DeGraff Pirates, Huntsville Hunters, Lakeview Indians, Lewistown Blackhawks, Perry-Zane Jayhawks, Quincy Trojans, Ridgeway Tigers, Rushsylvania Rockets, West Mansfield Trojans, West Liberty Tigers, Zanesfield-Monroe Indians.

By 1975, Logan County schools had consolidated into Bellefontaine, Indian Lake, Benjamin Logan, West Liberty Salem and Riverside School Districts. Ohio Hi-Point Career Center opened on the site of the former Air Force 664th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron property on St. Rt. 540 in 1974.

Although we have many Logan County school class composites in our archives, we do not have them all. The senior class composites have been copied from photographs and negatives donated to LCHC from Hadley and Woodruff Studios, as well as photographs donated by individuals. For the most part our collection only goes up to the 1970s or early 1980s.

If you have a copy of a class composite we do not have, and you would like to donate or allow us to scan it, please let us know by calling 937-593-7557 or by stopping by the History Center during office hours (Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00).
