 Genealogical Society:

The Logan County Genealogical Society’s library will be closed part of the winter season for in-person patrons. The Genealogy Library’s last day will be Wednesday, December 21st and will be re-open on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023.
The board has made this decision due in part to Ohio’s unpredictable winter weather.

Our volunteers will check incoming emails regularly as well as the phone’s answering machine, as weather permits. Be sure to leave your name, phone number, and/or email address and we will contact you as soon as possible. We are still committed to helping you with your genealogy research but feel this action is in the best interest of all involved.

We look forward to seeing you again in March!

In Logan County, the Genealogical Society and the Historical Society are separate entities

within the same building with separate files, phones, hours, volunteers, etc.

Generally:    The Genealogical Society focuses on research about "people" including

family genealogy files, births, deaths, marriages, cemeteries, and court records.

The Historical Society focuses on research about "places and things" including

cities, villages, townships, businesses, buildings, etc. and Logan County history in general,

plus we have some family files.
