Genealogical Society:
In Logan County, the Genealogical Society and the Historical Society are separate entities
within the same building with separate files, phones, hours, volunteers, etc.
Generally: The Genealogical Society focuses on research about "people" including
family genealogy files, births, deaths, marriages, cemeteries, and court records.
The Historical Society focuses on research about "places and things" including
cities, villages, townships, businesses, buildings, etc. and Logan County history in general,
plus we have some family files.

NOTE:
As of December 23rd, the Logan County Genealogical Society’s library will be closed for in-person patrons until March 17th. The board has made this decision due to a combination of the pandemic and Ohio’s unpredictable winter weather. Our volunteers will check incoming emails often as well as the phone’s answering machine, as weather permits. Be sure to leave your name, phone number, and/or email address and we will contact you as soon as possible. We are still committed to helping you with your genealogy research but feel this action is in the best interest of all involved.
We look forward to seeing you again in March! Phone: (937) 593-7811 Email:
